AAT Training
Level 2 certificate: This 18-week course is perfect for school-leavers, returners, or those new to studying, covering double-entry bookkeeping and trial balance. It includes weekly classroom lessons and home study. Assessment is via two computer-based tests. No prior qualifications are needed, but AAT student membership is required. Level 3 Diploma: This course is ideal for those in accounts roles seeking recognition or progressing through the AAT qualifications. Delivered part-time (one day or evening per week) over 12-15 months, it covers business awareness, financial accounting, management accounting, and tax processes. Assessments are computer-based and held throughout the course. Entry requires the AAT Certificate in Accounting or equivalent. AAT student membership is required. Level 4 Diploma: This course is for those progressing from the AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting. It includes four mandatory units and two optional units, delivered part-time over 12-18 months. Study options include classroom, flexible learning, or onsite courses. Units cover areas such as financial statements, credit management, and personal tax. Assessment is via AAT computer-based tests. CIMA
CIMA Operational Level: This CIMA Operational Level course is for those with the AAT Level 4 Diploma in Accounting or CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting. It includes Enterprise, Performance, and Financial Operations, plus a case study. Study at your own pace with on-demand exams. The course runs one evening per week for 16 weeks. CIMA membership and exemptions from the Certificate in Business Accounting are required. Completing the course awards the CIMA Diploma in Management Accounting.
CIMA Managerial Level Accounting: This CIMA Managerial Level course is for those who have completed or are working towards the Operational Level of CIMA. It includes Enterprise, Performance, and Financial Management, plus a case study upon completion. Study at your own pace with on-demand exams, except the case study, offered four times a year. The course is delivered one evening per week for 16 weeks. Entry requires the AAT Level 4 qualification or the CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting. Successful completion awards the CIMA Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting, with further progression available.
CIMA Strategic Level Accounting: The CIMA Strategic Level course is for those who have completed the Operational and Managerial Levels. It covers Enterprise, Performance, and Financial Strategy, followed by an Integrated Case Study. Study at your own pace with on-demand exams, except the case study, available four times a year. The course is delivered one evening per week for 16 weeks. Entry requires completion of the CIMA Operational and Managerial Levels and current CIMA membership. Successful completion awards eligibility for the CIMA test of professional competence, leading to distinguished membership.
CIMA Professional Competence: The CIMA Professional Competence Level course is for those who have completed the Operational and Managerial Levels. It consists of work-based practical experience (over three years) and a case study exam. The exam, based on a simulated business case, is assessed externally and available four times a year. The case study module is delivered one evening per week for 10 weeks. Entry requires completion of the CIMA Operational and Managerial Levels and current CIMA membership. Completing both elements awards distinguished membership of CIMA.
CIMA Distance Learning: All our modules are available as distance learning. Each week, course materials are emailed, with a piece of work due for submission. Submit your work via email for feedback within 48 hours. Practice exam papers and marking services are included. Email support is available, and phone support can be arranged during dedicated times. An optional weekend revision day is available before the exam, included in the module price. Contact us for the next start date and costs.
